Meet Jean-François
ACTOR & VOICE-OVER ARTIST
Jean-François Raynaud is a French actor and voice-over artist originally from the south-west of France. In 2009, he moved to Quebec with the ambition of working on film sets and contributing to the film industry. This dream became a reality shortly after his first Quebec winter: he started as a production assistant, then became a third assistant director, and later a production coordinator.
Jean-François holds a master’s degree in performing arts – film studies from the University of Montpellier III, which he earned with honors. From 2006 to 2008, he was an international exchange student in Beppu, Japan. This transformative experience allowed him to immerse himself in Japanese culture and become fluent in the language.
Wishing to explore his artistic sensitivity, Jean-François turned to the dramatic arts in 2014. He trained with renowned mentors: Marie Danielle Boucher, who introduced him to the Stanislavski and Uta Hagen techniques, and Robert Favreau and Rachel Verdon, who guided him in on-screen acting. He also participated in numerous professional workshops through UDA and ACTRA’s continuing education programs.
A lover of the sung voice, Jean-François trained in classical singing under the expert and nurturing guidance of Philippe Bolduc. He shone on stage, playing leading roles in several operettas with Belle Lurette Productions.
In parallel, Jean-François lived and worked in Tokyo, where he performed in theatrical productions, commercials, TV documentaries, and music videos.
Today, Jean-François operates a professional studio where he produces narrations (advertisements, corporate content, educational projects, etc.) and voices numerous characters for animation and video game projects.
With over 10 years of experience, Jean-François is known for his full commitment, meticulousness, and passion. His love for the craft, paired with his constant pursuit of sincerity and authenticity, shines through in every project he undertakes.
